The Arlene Goslee Knowles scrapbooks document the experience of a young woman coming of age during World War II, 1943-1949. The scrapbooks focus on religious and social events in Sharptown, Maryland; within the scrapbooks, there are birth, wedding, graduation and death announcements. The collection also conveys how an American woman during this period, engages and finds global interconnections. There is ephemera related to her brother, John Goslee’s service in World War II. Additionally, there is material related to relationships she developed with other Methodists in South East Asia. The scrapbooks contain church programs, newspapers, photographs, postcards and ephemera related to Arlene’s life.

Salisbury High School, Class of 1897 Reunion collection

This collection contains an invitation to a Salisbury High School Reunion Luncheon on May 17th, 1947 the invitation contains and a list of guests/class of 1897. Additionally, this collection contains a book entitled "My Commencement" belonging to Amy Bennett that documents her senior year in 1918. However, a majority of the pages are empty. Also included is a photocopy of a newspaper article commemorating the Western Maryland College graduates of 1922.

Tony Sarbanes Collection

Anthony 'Tony' Sarbanes was an American athlete, scholar, educator, and soldier born in Salisbury, MD in 1937 to Greek immigrant parents. Sarbanes played basketball for Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College), and later embarked on a long career as a coach for various Salisbury schools in basketball, golf, and soccer. After serving as a teacher for several years, Sarbanes served as Vice Principal for several Salisbury schools, eventually becoming Principal for Wicomico High School and the first Principal of Parkside High School.

Wilmer O. Lankford III papers

The papers of Wilmer O. Lankford III encompass his research materials and original manuscripts of his four-volume book, They Lived in Somerset; including Lankford family documents such as Wilmer’s Western Maryland College scrapbook, as well as facsimiles and transcripts of church records, from Somerset County, Maryland, 1894-2008. Additional components include Rev. William Colbert’s account of his travels in Somerset County from 1801-1807, and the diary of Ida Marshall Lankford that reflects the lynching of Isaac Kemp for the murder of Constable Ned Carver.
